Renderplas Movement Joint Beads

Application Advice

When installing your Renderplas plastering beads, it’s just as much about technique as it is about product. Whilst it depends on your product, here are a few additional tips to help you get results every time:

1. Cut With Care

   Score and snap your PVCu plastering beads if needed instead of forcing them. This prevents jagged edges, micro-cracks in the profile or bending, ensuring your beads sit flush against corners and reveals for a clean finish.

2. Handle with Precision

   Lightweight doesn’t mean careless. Position each bead accurately and press evenly along the substrate. Uneven handling can lead to movement during rendering, leaving gaps, bulges or misaligned lines that show through once the render sets.

3. Check Alignment Mid-Installation

   We recommend that you regularly verify that your rendering beads are level, square and flush with the surface. Small adjustments during installation are much easier than trying to fix uneven beads after the render has dried, saving hours of patching and sanding.

4. Inspect Before Rendering

   Before applying any render, confirm that all beads are straight, fully embedded and firmly fixed. This ensures that the mesh is properly integrated and reduces the risk of cracks forming along the edges.
