This Blue Grit by top brand Febond is a high performance plasterer’s grip coat specifically designed to help smooth over difficult surfaces. The plaster bonding agent is ideal for those repair, maintenance and improvement jobs with tricky walls.

Containing a fine aggregate, it provides a mechanical key to backgrounds such as plaster and concrete, painted surfaces, textured surfaces and ceramic tiles. The one coat application is great for efficient working and this must-have plasterer’s grip coat is also coloured blue to indicate coverage.

Why Use a Plaster Bonding Agent?

Plaster bonding agents like blue grit are perfect for controlling the suction and minimising potential adhesion issues. One of the key ingredients to a smooth and successful plastering finishing is to ensure the correct surface preparation is carried out beforehand. Febond Blue Grit incorporates a fine aggregate into the mix and reduces the suction on highly porous substrates such as block work.

Application Tips

Blue grit can be applied straight from the tub with a short pile roller or plastering brush. Only one coat is needed, but it’s recommended to make sure your covering is generous to ensure no weak spots appear once you’ve applied the plaster.

Allow approximately 24 hours for your coat of Blue Grit to dry before applying your plaster. If temperatures are low you may need a longer drying time.

Stir well before use.

Store your plaster bonding agents in cool conditions and protect against extreme temperatures and frost.
